Mattyford.com Has Become Strategy Umwelt
Over the last few years I began a process of collecting interesting principles and frameworks I encountered working as a strategist in agencies and consultancies. Working in fits and starts, these frameworks began to chart the ways in which technology was changing the approach to the application of strategy for organizations and the agencies that served them.
Strategy Umwelt represents a new vision for this process.
Housing this content on a new domain will have several key benefits;
- I can better separate strategy frameworks from personal projects, allowing greater focus on both Mattyford and Strategy Umwelt as separate entities.
- A focused platform will drive greater accountability. My goal is to be more consistent with posting to ensure I'm delivering new value weekly, rather than letting time slip to longer timeframes.
- Simplifying the vision for the platform means I can drive a much better experience for you, the user. Content will be easier to find and consume when you need it, without me getting in the way of the experience.
For existing readers, I have made some sweeping updates to the old articles that reflect new thinking on the application of these models, and more focus on counter arguments. I hope you find them as useful as you did the first time around. For new readers, welcome and enjoy!
I hope you will also sign up to my newsletter so I can keep you updated on new content when it is available. My plan is to send out a single email each week that will include new frameworks, a quick aggregation of articles that are relevant to strategy and tech, and any updates to the vision for the platform. Please join me if this sounds like it will be valuable to you.
Lastly, I'd love to hear your feedback on the platform, and if there is anything else you would want me to add in the future. Let's collaborate to make this work for you.
To kick things off, take a look at one of the most popular articles from the archive, and what originally inspired me to write about strategy, the Feynman Technique.
